We provide comfort, support, and motivation to individuals facing challenges.
Pawsibilities Unleashed is a non-profit organization that has been in business since 1993. The organization rescues dogs from a variety of sources and trains them for therapy work, animal assisted therapy, emotional support, and service dogs for children and adults. Dogs that are not able to be trained for these purposes are placed as companion/pet adoptions.
The organization does not take in dogs that have bitten or shown any aggression. Dogs that are turned in to the organization must have their history truthfully disclosed.

Ms. Hazel made many children, staff, and others smile tonight at Kentucky Children’s Hospital! Common question tonight, “How in the world do you get her to keep that on?!”
I originally met Liz and Pawsibilities when I had fear reactivity issues with a Shepherd I adopted. we worked with Maggie and she became a pretty good little gal. It took a lot of learning on my part to understand how to work with her issues, Ms Hazel is helped us and we got there. But while doing that, a cute, little. Bouvier puppy came into their rescue. I decided to foster her and then (because my Shepherd fell in love with her, and Maggie hated all dogs), I adopted her. Hazel is now one of the best know therapy dogs in the state of Kentucky. She spends many community service hours helping children and putting a sparkle in everyone’s eyes.

When I adopted Ellie, I thought I had taken on too much. I sent her to Pawsibilities Unleashed (Liz Norris) and they trained her. Not only was she well trained when she returned, but she made therapy dog and spends her days working as the hostess/comfort dog at our local hospital. We have had this organization train several of our dogs. We highly recommend them.

Therapy pets willingly give of themselves and have unconditional love and acceptance of the elderly and handicapped, whether adults or children. They should be able to motivate people to talk, reminisce on the past, or accomplish something they haven’t done or tried in years. It could be as simple as a smile or one spoken word, but it could be the first time this has happened in forever. Therapy animals often produce “miracles” by their mere presence.
They can be of any breed: mixed-breed, purebred, small, large, retired from showing, or active showing. Dogs should be familiar at least with Novice Obedience and, preferably, Advanced Obedience work and should know or learn some tricks. Dogs are expected to get along with other dogs well, as they will work in close surroundings with other pets. Dogs must get along with adults and children and be comfortable in new and unusual environments.
Best service dog ever. This is the second service dog we have adopted through Pawsibilities Unleashed for 2 different family members. We love their training team.

We absolutely love our JJ. He was adopted and trained through Pawsibilities Unleashed. Our family has adopted several dogs through them and gone through their training programs. We got great results and were very happy with everyone there.

Meet Penny, my service dog. She is how I met Liz Norris and the Pawsibilities Team. Since acquiring her I was able to go back to school, earn my psychology degree, go to the Opera once again and have a life. I will certainly be getting my next service dog from them when Penny retires.

We will not take in a dog that has bitten, has a bite history, has attacked another dog(s) or shown any aggression of this type. If you turn in a dog to us and are untruthful about the dog(s) history, then we will not place it in any home.
A dog can be timid, but not a fear biter, a dog can be assertive, but not prone to attack, but it can not show aggression towards being handled, hands in food bowls, being touched all over, sharing toys with another human, etc.

We do Boarding in our home and the dogs go where we go. They are never in a kennel run and they are worked into our family’s daily routines.
